How It All Began
A welcoming local community brought together by the joy of Scottish Country Dancing.
Our Story
Nearly three decades of dancing together
What began with one simple idea has grown into a friendly and welcoming community.
In 1996 Lynda brought Scottish Country Dancing to Liddington, with a simple vision: to bring people together through the timeless tradition of Scottish Country Dancing. With the support of a dedicated committee and countless volunteers over the years, that vision has grown into a warm, welcoming community where everyone is encouraged to belong.

At its heart, our club is about more than dancing. Every class brings Fun through shared laughter, Fitness for both body and mind, and Friendship that extends far beyond the dance floor. These three values have brought generations of members together and continue to shape everything we do.

Today, our committee and our members remain committed to that same vision. While we proudly honour the traditions of Scottish Country Dancing, we also recognise that every tradition survives because each generation chooses to embrace it. By welcoming beginners, opening our doors to new members, and creating an inclusive community, we are investing in the future as much as we celebrate the past.

Our hope is simple: that many years from now, new friendships will still be forming, the music will still be playing, and the joy of Scottish Country Dancing will continue to enrich lives for generations to come.

Fun. Fitness. Friendship. A tradition worth passing on.
